Unlikely cause Slater has a very average passing game.

Slater annoys me. However, there is nothing average about his game at all.

I forgot then above Brad (manesque) or Fittler is Stapo level which is the highest level anyone can attain. Only God gets to that level and Stapo is a God!

I didn't think Hayne would attract the hype he has over there, and thought we might of entertained picking up the pieces.
All this speculation happened way after RTS made his choice however.

I wonder why people don't get bored with gridiron but?
Every game takes forever, it stops every 5 seconds, and a lot of players are lucky to play 5 minutes.
                Gotta love America.

After watching all of Haynes NFL trials, best he will be is a utility player thats the only value he has for NFL...cause last games he is below average .May be he will get flicked to another NFL side OR welcome to the Chooks

I'm wondering if the hype about Hayne in the USA that has been portrayed by the Australian media is at all close to reality. I've been asking a few American friends who follow the sport about him and they don't seem to know too much. One oddity with American football is that College football is bigger than the NFL in many ways. Many only follow their college team and pay little to no attention to the NRL. Even still it is hard to see Hayne returning to Australia before 2017 at the earliest.

Hayne has been doing very well.

He was outstanding again today. Leading his team in carries and rushing with 58 yards on 10 carries. He also caught passes out of the backfield and made a 28 yard kick return. AND he made a good tackle on special teams.

His athletic ability and unique rugby league background are making him a diverse threat. Make no mistake about it, he's the real deal and will only get better.

That's kind of what I thought but I'm just wondering where all the hype ends and what is the reality of the situation. I would imagine given a chance he will improve dramatically with experience. I hope he becomes a star and never comes back to the NRL personally.

Yeah the hype has been utterly ridiculous.

But credit to Hayne he's caused a lot of it so far with some exceptional play you'd expect from a veteran.

He'll never be a 1000 yard rusher. But he'll be a very valuable diverse threat... someone who can come up with the odd big rush, catch out of the backfield, kick returns including some for a TD, as well as tackling on kick returns that the Americans probably can't even conpare to.

I doubt he'll be back but if he does he'll probably be in his early 30s and come back for a season or two for a farewell.

Hayne has done very well and will only get alot better as he is still doing several little things wrong.
His running stance and also his reaction to the sideline are 2
