But as others have mentioned, we have good depth this season and can still field a team that will be extremely competitive because our side is so well balanced!

I agree with this. Fergo and Elliot look like they will be there right through and they need as much game time together as possible.

I think we will fight Jenko's charges with nothing to lose. The cat was falling so they do have a case to argue.

Last time we played Manly mid way through last year Aubusson was left centre as Jennings was out with the lat injury. He made some terrible reads and Lyon carved him up for two tries. He showed again against Parramatta that he is not a good defender in the centres, letting in another two tries (albeit the second was also a big mistake by Guerra). When will we learn that he is not a good choice at centre. Sure he does a decent job in attack and defends well away from the goal when he can slide but put him on the goal line and he can't make a good decision to save his life. I know it sounds like I'm Aubs bashing all the time. But the guy is a naturally gifted backrower and a very competent hooking option. Probably should be considered for a Blues spot on the bench if they insist on a utility but he's not a centre. I'd have Elliot there in his natural position. Mitchell on the wing and training his defensive combo with Fergo all week.

I see where you are coming from Yak but that seems like too many changes. We need stability more than ever now that the semis are just around the corner. I think Maubs is a good temporary option in the centres for this game, since Jenko will be back the following week.
Does anyone know if Latrell has played any other position in the 20s apart from fullback? Because these days, playing on the wing or in the centres are very specialised positions.

I reckon he will go with the safe option and go with Aubs in the centres.

The only issue with Aubs in the centres is, with JWH out, this will weaken our bench even further and probably have to include someone like McIlwrick or Manu on the bench. Both of which aren't great replacements.

I rather go with Mitchell on the wing and keep Aubs on the bench.

PS. way too early in Mitchell's career and way too late in the season to be playing around with switching between him and RTS at FB during a game. Especially with Pearce out.
Moa might be back? That would possibly nullify some of the impact of lasting JWH.

          2. Toops
          3. Maubs
          4. Fergo
          5. Bondi Hipster

          ...

          8. Moa
          9. Friend
          10. Napa
          11. Cords
          12. Guerra
          13. SST

          ---

          14. Evans
          15. Matagi
          16. Liu
          17. Mcillwrick (Yeah fark ay... and given Moa might not even be back, it's double fark!!)

Just heard Mini has a $1 contract and is in training? and will be called upon

Probably not the answer you want but Latrell has previously played 5/8.

Robbo rotated RTS and Mini last season in some attacking plays.

Did he do it on Roger's debut match? In a match which could determine a top 2 position?

I read in an article, where they interviewed POS when RTS left, that Mitchell could potentially play in the centres. Perhaps he could play there and Tupou might be able to help in defence? Tough ask I guess but I might be an option

This is the perfect opportunity to debut Mitchell... bearing in mind that if disaster strikes he may be called upon in the finals.

Mate it's in the bag and a great opportunity to blood Latrell just incase we need him in the finals.

I believe that RTS needs a week off. However, is unlikely to be rested. All i'm saying is if Mitchell plays on the wing and where comfortably in front, then they should rotate giving RTS a spell and the newbie some game time at FB.

Actually the entire team should play on 1 leg to even out the contest.

That's great news that Napa will be there. I would love to see Mitchell get a chance. I just don't want thatMcIlwrick fella there.

If you're an option rwbfl, then I suspect we are in more trouble than we first thought! Sorry, couldn't resist!

Need to fight this, Boyd ducks & falls into the tackle and Jennings arm is well below shoulder height. That isn't a careless act.

The Match Review Committee are a joke, Michael Beutner makes it up as he goes we all saw that last week. I really hope they don't have any say on this years finals series but I can just forsee an absolute howler of a decision from them in the near future.
