  • contract negotiations

It's funny how much they affect the performance of a player. early in the season Maloney was inconsistent at best, yet after he settled his future with the sardines, his form has been faultless.
Toupo's form had been way below par, yet as soon as he had extended his contract with us he has played exceptionally well, and apart from the one bad pass last night, has been faultless. Even returning kicks with confidence, and not getting dominated or pushed back, but making half breaks and forming a lethal combination with RTS at the back.
RTS settled his future early in the season, and has been our best player all year. Thoughts?

Different players respond differenlty to things like that. FPN only ever looked good when negotiating a new contract.

I was gonna mention that. I think he has been very solid on the wing and his defence has also improved.

That blatant blocking of the chasers that doesn't get called out by the refs should be echoed in robbo's press conference. We should have had a certain try had hodges not pushed toops into touch mid air.

Apart from his little lapse last night when he offloaded the ball to the opposition he has been on fire and most entertaining to watch.
