Will be interesting to see if Robbo resits the temptation to move Maubs back into the second row now. After Saturday's game he sounded pretty intent on persisting with that Fergo/Aubo combo.

I'd love to see SST get an opportunity on that right edge.

Robbo has to bite the bullet and move Elliott back to the Wing and Fergo into the centres. Maubs struggles to read the defence out wide and Fergo has enough issues as it is. We are weakening too many positions with Maubs out wide.

NRL are just hurting because Kane Evans showed them up to be incompetent when he shoudl've received a week for his shoulder charge on Kasiano, based on the precedence already set.

And in typical fashion they're overcompensating.
I fear for our game. They are stuffing it. No one has a clue.

I don't care cause he has been very sub-standard this year.

I think most have been complaining about the continual evolution of the shoulder charge rules since it was brought in at the end of 2012.

This. Both Maubs and SST on the right edge excite me much more than Guerra. He would've been lucky to make more than 40 metres on the weekend and has been poor since his lay off early in the season

we'll see how 'consistent' they are when GI, Cameron Smith or JT put on an innocuous accidental shoulder charge in the semi final series ...then see if they automatically put them out for 2 weeks or potentially the series ?

I'd had a few beers by the time i watched the presser but my take was that Robbo admitted that it was a failure.

Personally i thought it was a disaster!!!

I've seen better defensive alignments watching local A grade. No attempt to size up or read the play by Fergo .He just shoved in every time and hoped for the best. The opposition playmakers will be licking their lips.

If Skid is unnavailable our best option is Fergo/Elliot Combination.

Pearce - Fergo- Elliot must do upto 20 hours a week working on their D. Communicating with each other and covering every single attacking scenario the opposition will throw at them.

Hopefully now people will stop thinking Aubbo is Mr Reliable in the centres. Brilliant backrower and a decent rake as well now actually but he's always been terrible reading the attack from two in. Completely different when he's 4 men in. For the Radradra try he came in on absolutely no one, that was attrocious. Guerra did made the initial defensive errors for Norman's try by jamming an early lead runner but Aubs has to know that he has to cover the lead first, not just drift up past the play expecting the fullback to get it. That was so poor. His attacking game wasn't all that bad but he was basically attacking on the wing anyway so I don't get why they wouldn't just have Elliot in there who has shown that he is up to it. Maybe it was just to counter Semi though. Let's hope so. Fergo has been largely to blame for the tries coming down that right edge, not Elliot. They defend well together away from the line but when the opposition is within 10m they don't seem to want to jam anymore, which is fine, it just means Fergo has to start to trust Pearce to make the tackle on the 3rd man in. He's been caught with his opposing centre on his outside shoulder about 5 times in the past 3 weeks and a couple of those have been saved my a loose hand knocking the pass down. They seem to have a lot more composure about them with SKD on the end of the line. That's something I never thought I'd say but there it is. Elliot will do for now though. Brisbane will be an excellent game to see if we can fix the problem. Milford and co will be hitting our right edge D all night.

ELO if you check a bit closer you will see that the attacking ball player, who was being marked by an inside Roosters player , ran across field in front of Guerras player making him Guerras man , the ball player links with a Lead and Jockey runner and dummies to them, but plays out the back switching back to Guerras originally marked player, Guerra reads the shift stops , props a collision occurs , Guerra chases the receiver 50M to the line ( not normally associated with a meditated Shoulder charge ).

The big question should be why Didn't the inside player close the hole and realign on the open player, this has been happening far too often, although it is common for the middles to drop off the chase - that is why it is a successful play.

As for the shoulder charge allegation if these muppets cite every player who brace for a collision off the ball there won't be many players left at the end of the season.

Guerra and Fergo are both contesting their charges. Good on the team for making that decision, I think. The Match Review Committee cannot be allowed to just sit there and lay charges knowing that they would seldom be challenged.
