He deserved to be rested. Not saying he was bad by any stretch but after seeing what he did against the dogs it's just mind boggling to watch him jog up the defence and pass at the line. He's 120kg and our most dominant ball runner. I don't want him ever passing at the line and we don't do it against stronger opposition so it makes no sense to pull it out in these games.

That shot on gidley in the first half was wicked though.

If anything, my view is that a bunch of our players who must be on close to minimum salary are the surprise packages. Can't say we really lose momentum when SST, Matagi, Liu, Evans and Maubs are on the field.

Tonight we had Pearce, SKD and Moa out and still had a better team. Telling IMO! Can't say that Gagai demonstrated that he's a QLD Origin hero for 80 minutes when compared with some of our guys who are on minimum wage.

On that note, WTF is with NSW being unable to beat QLD? I swear the Roosters would have decent odds at beating QLD.

Shame we didn't sign matagi for two years. Very handy back up, will be a starter at knights, panthers or raiders though.
