We can lose one once we've secured a top 2 position.

In the meantime, we can settle with losing the odd half/period of a game.

        This.

We have had some bad periods the last two weeks. Other teams would have lost but we dug deep to win the games. There was a lot to be learned from both of these games particularly with our defence and not putting anywhere near 80 minutes in. These two games are the losses we had to have conceding 28 and 22 points but just didn't lose the games.

I am sure that Bennett, Green and Maguire aren't lying in bed tonight with a big smile on their faces thinking they are glad they got those losses out of the way and we haven't yet.

I reckon we'll smash Manly, they won't handle our forwards. I'd like to think that we are good enough to win the comp without losing another game.

Not only do I want us to keep winning all the way to another premiership, I want us to win the first five games of 2016 - to break our own 1975 record.

We should have the mentality of winning every game that we play; and also improve as individuals and as a team with each subsequent outing.
Any loss can halt momentum and confidence.
As the cliche goes, take it a week at a time, but I cannot see any plausible reason why we cannot win every game from here including the big one!

Yesterday was a training run. We had to sharpen out our attack in the first and then we had to go on defense to iron things out in the second. It was actually a bye cause the points were guaranteed.
No need to lose any games.

We will be too good for Manly, regardless of where we play them.

Souffs still worry me for some reason.

                          Don't underestimate Manly.

Well you can if you like but their ladder position isn't reflective of their newly found form and i think they will test us imo.

Sharks fans think they have the best pack in the comp based on stats.

                          They need sorting out.

I believe that we have been winning games with enough lessons to be learned that we do not need to lose a match. Yesterday I believed that we could not take a positive out of the match and although we did win the 2 competition points there was no manner of victory that could be beneficial. Newcastle are a poor defensive team and their tried conceded were very soft and we conceded some very soft tries also so perhaps this is "the loss we need" without having to forgoe competition points.

I believe we are playing closer to the 2013 standard than the 2014 standard however in season 2013 the big wins came late in the game whereas in this season and last season we are running up large leads early leaving us vulnerable to momentum changes. I would prefer to see the return of the attempted grinding first half and runaway second half if possible. I do not believe that at full strength that we should not win the premiership.

Manly at Brookie is a perfect finals style fair dinkum game

Manly is likely to be at it's most desperate

For me the most gutsy team we have played over the past 10 years.
