  • Huge Result for Us Tonight

Souths dropping a game has confirmed we will be Top 3 (if that was ever in doubt), but more importantly Broncos going down means a Top 2 spot is ours to lose. If we can get up against Brisbane in a few weeks time we should guarantee ourselves a home final. Minor Premiership would be nice, but not travelling to Queensland in the first week of the finals is huge. Broncos at SFS come September is a very good result for us, would do big things for our premiership chances.
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

Don't get ahead of yourself. We also have to play Manly at Brookvale. Nothing is gauranteed by tonight's results.

Nothing is guaranteed yes but that was something we definitely wanted to happen 😉

Manly have looked very good in the last 2 rounds especially with the ball.

They will test our edge defence.

Souffs remaining games are - Cowboys, Bulldogs, Broncos, Roosters

They should miss out on a top 4 position and potentially could be eliminated in the 1st week of the finals.

Just the thought of that makes me feel good.

not saying it will be easy, but now it is 100% in our hands. Grabbing a top 2 position will be up to us and nobody else

Manly looked amazing last night - taking chances and hanging on to everything - except for the 3 or 4 other tries they butchered. They really handed Souffs their arses.

IMO, a terrible result for us on both counts. The last thing we need is heading to the finals with three consecutive bruising encounters against teams fighting for a home final (Broncos), top 8 (Manly), and top 4 (Souths).

So how would the Broncos and Souths winning have helped our cause? If they won For us it means that 1 or 2 is further away with the few matches left. As for Souths winning it would have meant theyd be on our tail waiting for us to stumble.

Souffs will do well to make the top 4 from here.

I can see a 1st week match up with the Dogs or Manly awaiting them and a first round exit.

                        That'd be great.

You believe a home final is going to be the deciding factor for us. I believe making the finals with a full strength side is going to be the deciding factor as it was last year.

Well playing in QLD with refs happy to give them a home advantage does make it harder for us full strength or not. Also why wouldn't you try to avoid traveling especially to FNQ? By then it'll be high 20s and 30s. Home is always an advantage.

Cowboys digging themselves another big hole against the Sharks down 14-0 just before halftime, have been riding their luck plenty of times this season, will be interesting to watch if they can comeback again.
