  • Toops

Cops a lot on here, and a lot of it is fair.

But I've always found the criticism of his attitude unfair, he doesn't display a lot of emotion out on the field but it by no way means he doesn't care or that he's uninterested which he seems to get a lot.

Tonight IMO he was one of the group of players who kicked off the comeback, just an increase in effort and energy level. 7 tackle busts alone in the 2nd half, credit to him, not only showed he cares through his actions but showed a great sign or maturity and leadership. Joe Burgess will have to fight for his spot next year.

    Toops had a great game.

He's either put on some muscle or the Marvel playing strip made him look bigger.

Or perhaps it's a more confident aura.

Best game for a long time. Kicked to him in the first half and he showed what he can do. Zero kicks to him in the second half left me wondering why ?? Much better working off our line as well

My man Toops is coming good, he'll be the best winger in the comp in the last couple of weeks.

I have thought of him as being replaceable, but im much happier him being on our team than defending him on an opposition team when he plays like that.

            Barnstorming game from him.

Seemed to get better with each carry.

His running style seems to be more aggressive,he's not getting lifted as much anymore. He's the Roosters Malcom Brown, came up with the big play when it mattered in 2013!

I saw him interviewed by Roosters TV a few weeks back. I was blown away coz he was smiling and joking around and appeared very confident in front of the camera. Totally different to the emotionless face when playing.

So I guess he just has an intense persona on game day.

Like most Footballers they play their best when their minds aren' t clouded and there future is clear ,( except DCE he thrives on controversy )

The criticism of Daniel "Toops" Tupou has been over the top and it is good to see him play his best football again that we have all seen from him in the past

My biggest criticism was that he always hid out on his wing & gathered dust. Last night he got involved & looked he wanted to play tough. His runs were a lot stronger & he was hitting it up which has been missing from his game for a while now. Great to see it & hopefully he's found his mojo

How many tries would he have to score to crack a smile?
                          He was solid last night.
