I doubt the SMH would be able to prove anything as the NRL auditors have no chance.

Like the Broncos they will get away with any wrong doing through lack of evidence.

But it is about proving they paid only one third. Say it was a block worth $600K and the player paid only $200K and maybe the club paid the balance in some scheming way. If the documents show the player paid the full $600K then they have no cause. I'm sure the club would have thought about this scenario.

Every single club in one way or another KNOWINGLY breaches the salary cap. I'm not saying to the level of previous or current investigations, but they all do it including us, if you think otherwise you're delusional. What sets the mighty RWB apart from others is our club is saturated with astute business men not deadbeat ex footballers.

If i owned 100 blocks of land for 100k each and in a few years they were valued at 300k, why would it be wrong to sell them to a friend for 150k? Market value is just that, if you can get it for less, why does it matter?

Because when those friendships are contingent on you playing football for a certain club then it's a conflict of interest and an incentive that not all clubs have equal access too.

                      • Surely there's enough evidence to put a line through them, bump us up to 2nd and increase our chances of a week 1 home final.

I hope they get off. I never felt right in 2002 when won the comp after the dogs were kicked out. They were the benchmark all year. When they were booted and we won I was left wondering what if we played them. I'd hate to win this year with the cows not there.

That's very noble of you Bigchook and i guess it is why you are the Big Chook

Perhaps they can strip enough points to dislodge them from 2nd then we can eliminate em in style.

                            • It's just a bit of shenanigans! A house here....block of land there......Nothing wrong with mates rates. I might even give Mr Lancini a ring. After all, I played for the Bomaderry Tigers.

I would love to win this year with or without the Cowboys included

I have no issue with teams fielding an illegal roster being disqualified from that years competition.

We won in 2002....fair and square.
