So if I can summarise the key points in the Weidler article:

1) A couple of months ago, SKD and Peris were a happy loving couple
2) They had a falling out.
3) Peris didn't agree with the terms of a financial settlement. Lawyers were involved.
4) Peris emailed the Roosters about "compensation".
5) SKD sent her nasty text messages.
6) He kicked her out.
7) She complained to the police.
8) The Police charged SKD - the worst charge involved bruising to her arm. SKD denies this.
9) SKD went to the police unaccompanied by a lawyer and was put in a jail cell.
10) His father is worried that his son will kill himself.
11) SKD may have played his last game.

SKD's side of the story starting to filter out.

And that's why I support Shaun. Why I have ever since I heard what happened to him. Pretty clear to me what is happened here. And I am really shattered for him.

just think of the thousands of men who have and are enduring this kind of torture by their malignant ex partners. At least SKD is not having his kids ripped away from him.

JT, the question must be asked though how SKD was let attend the Police Station without representation in the first place, not sure why his family/friends/the club didn't make sure he had the appropriate support at the time he attended the station.

Legal advice nowadays is that is exactly what you do. O'Farrell put through a law that got rid of the right to stay silent - if you have a lawyer present.

If the lawyer attends and you don't mention something then you can't raise it at the hearing. If there is no lawyer you can.

It's a grossly unfair law and the cops then put you in the cells alone for hours to try and get you to talk.

By the way, maybe they said he would only be there for half an hour to get charged and a rep from the club went down with him. Maybe the cops wouldn't let the club rep stay with him. Maybe they wanted to isolate and break him.

Of course, in the minds of these cops they were dealing with Jack the Ripper.....

Dare I say it. There has to be an investigation.

I come on this forum a lot but hardly ever post. Something just didn't seem right to me and I thought that SKD was being seriously miss wronged.

I fully support SKD. I don't care if he doesn't plays for us again this year, all I care about is that justice prevails and SKD can find a happy place in his life.

The rest will take care of itself.

Nice little update Saw SKD today at Roosters HQ he had a smile from Ear to ear having a good laugh in the car park with Blake Furguson.
hopefully a sign that his head space is improving and we can see him back in the RW&B in coming weeks.
