Regardless of what happens i think it's highly unlikely he returns to the nrl this year now. Virtually impossible to go from a mental health hospital to competing at a professional level in two months.

It's disgraceful, given he's a high profile person there should of been a suppression order to prevent his name bring tarnished and defamed publicly just in case he is innocent. What if there are people out there that plan and plot to exploit high profile people because they will come under heavy media scrutiny and usually as the villain. The law needs to protect every citizen but high profile people can become big targets because of their profiles. Good luck champ, it's never as bad as it first appears.

If people knew how this "victim" has behaved and, just as importantly, how the two young female Maroubra cops behaved when he presented to be charged they would understand and sympathise about why he is in such a bad place see that he needs help and support - instead of mocking him on social media saying he is doing it as a ploy to get out of behaviour they think he is undoubtedly guilty of.

Robbo knows it and last night on Sterlo he said that only one side has been told and that there is another side that will be told - with a very steely look on his face.

Everyone close to this knows what a disgrace the whole thing and I am proud to say I support SKD.

This forum is doing exactly the opposite though. It's ridiculous to speculate on either party's guilt or intention. As far as I know no one on this forum knows skd or the woman. Don't believe all that is told through the media.

I think you will find many on here know SKD and have a lot of time for him.

            That's the man he is.

Fair enough. Like I said I desperately hope these rumours are untrue. But I'd like to let the police and court do their job rather than have either party slandered.

Hearing has been adjourned to a later date due to SKD still being in hospital.

                This is all very sad

                Pretty much his season done.

Very sad. I can't see him playing again this year even if he is innocent.

For the position the Premier holds and the comments he made to target, as it stands, an innocent citizen to divert his own party's current issues like the coal seam mining, he is the one who should stand down until the case is heard. It is the lowest act by a politician in a long time.

Bourbon Bec is a vile human being and I expect nothing more from her anyway.

Exactly right JT. absolute farcical situation, the travesty in all this is that even when he is proven innocent, she will still be portrayed as the victim and Skid and his families name tarnished.

Lets hope the power brokers at the chooks and their legal eagles expose her for what she is and what she has done.

More importantly lets hope this champion bloke returns as the old larrken Skid happier and stronger than ever before, he has one strong family behind him

If I were SKD'S lawyer I would have some serious concerns over the events:

1:"It’s alleged the offences occurred between 10 October 2014 and 24 June 2015". Yet Jessica Peris didn't take out an AVO until 3 weeks after they split. So she had no fear for 3 weeks and no issues of any alleged violence in the 3 week period after splitting.

                      2."
Sources have confirmed Peris and Kenny-Dowall have since been in negotiations about a financial settlement to mark their end of their de-facto relationship. Peris has a child from a previous relationship." A belated claim for an AVO appears connected to the ongoing financial settlement negotiations.

                      3. The extreme affect of hospitalization of SKD, is symbolic of someone normally falsely accused and unable to cope with the circumstances imposed on them.

To be fair his season was probably done anyway. During the 'hearing' you speak of all that woulda happened is that the judge woulda said 'alright here's the charges... how does the defendant plead for each of these?'

If the media reports are correct then his lawyer would have responded with something along the lines of 'not guilty' for each one. Afterwards they'd pencil in a date for the actual hearing (probably no earlier than October).

Look, as much as all us Roosters supporters sincerely hope that SKD has been wrongfully accused and is innocent, there is simply no point in guessing what may or may not have happened. Regrettably this looks like it is going to be a long play.

I have no issue stating that I believe he is innocent. And resoundingly so.

Time will prove me either foolish or correct. But I'm putting it out there that imo he's the victim of a malicious attempt to destroy his name.

A lawyer acquaintance of mine (one does not have lawyers for friends) said that suing for defamation is like pissing in the ocean. Unless the person who defamed you is carrying a sign saying "Such and such is a such and such" then there's next to no chance for legal relief.

Joe Hockey found out, to win is to lose.

You'd be tied up in white ribbons if you tried to argue those facts.
