No loss, he must the brain the size of a pea, to carry on like he has, 40 years filling pot holes on the council will be a good lesson for such wasted talent.

You cannot put brains in statues!! Another example of wasted talent! ..I'd say Willis would be more "scared" dealing with his old man than the roosters hierarchy lol. 😱
Such a shame that all that talent is being pissed away.
Another club will pick him up and he may wake up to himself ala Dugan.
Time for POS to find us another young talent who hopefully appreciates and takes advantage of the oppurtunities given to him
Three weeks on and nothing has been announced by the club and nor has Meehan himself said he's left - or has he? Does anyone have any news on this? The kid's profile is still on the website which makes me think that if the club had sacked him, as birdbrain (Rothfield) suggests, then surely they'd take his profile off - if not make an official announcement about it.
Perhaps they've done a 'Friendy' within and said - "you need a spell, kid - to get your head and behaviour in order. Go work at the local tuck shop and we'll chat with you in January

Meehan has turned to Islam. SBW and the Meehan family are close. Probably another reason SBW has been back around roosters hq recently, maybe at the request of Uncle Nick.

Roosters forced to sack boom forward Willis Meehan after a series of off-field issues
PHIL ROTHFIELD
THE SUNDAY TELEGRAPH
JULY 19, 2015 12:00AM
Rosing forward Willie Meehan has run out of chances with the Roosters.
THE Roosters have cut one of rugby leagues most promising young players for the second time this season for misbehaviour.
And this time boom forward Willis Meehanis gone for good. The former Australian Schoolboys star is also one of Australias most promising young heavyweight boxers but sadly cant get his life sorted away from sport. Meehan was suspended this year when he was charged with assault and had been back at the Roosters for only three weeks before stepping out of line again. He did time in a rehabilitation centre during his original suspension but obviously needs more care. WHATS THE BUZZ: Saint, sinner, shoosh Meehan also has a promising career in boxing ahead.
The Roosters tried desperately hard with the youngster. Sadly it just hasnt worked out for him, said Roosters CEO Brian Canavan. Its very disappointing because we rate the kid so highly. His saving grace is that hes 19 and not 29. Hes got too much talent in rugby league and boxing, whatever he decides to do, to waste it. Fingers crossed that he can sort himself out. I first saw Meehan play at the Australian schoolboys carnival in Cairns two years ago. He is big enough to play prop, fast enough to play wing and he reminded me a lot of Cowboys tearawayJason Taumalolo. Coach Trent Robinson had earmarked him to play first grade this year. Now his career is on the scrap heap. It is such a massive waste of natural talent.
