Let's hope there aren't plans for a grand reaming further down the line.. He's not paying attention at our situation were we have 2/3 of the ball yet lose 95% of the penalty counts in a season.
For those that didn't agree that the penalties was a factor in the SOO, Fittler highlighted a few situations were the 50/50 calls were going in QLD favour which gave them that early edge. Neither Sterlo or Johns had any opinion on that which seems like some don't give a shit or don't want to stir anything.

The Origin 3 blow out score is a direct result of 1 team being reamed early and struggling with fatigue. The other (full of experienced quality players) taking full advantage of the momentum gifted to them and putting their opposition to the sword.
I wouldn't blame any of the NSW players IF they tanked that second half.

2 of the 6 straight penalties were reasonable. The other 4 were blatantly concocted to get the dogs down to the scoring end of the field.
The refs might have accidentally done us a favour though - regardless of how they got into our zone, some weaknesses in our outside defence were highlighted which the coaching staff and players can hopefully get on top of. And we still got the 2 points. So suck it Matt Cechin.
Yeah 2 penalties against the dogs in 80 minutes, LOL.
I said last year we were not good enough to be premiers in the face of continued butt rape by refs. This year? Maybe we are......
Although I see when the wabbits were struggling yesterday against Riff the refs dug them out of trouble with 10 penalties. Their combination of big boppers marched down field by refs, together with constant unpenalised niggle and slow down of their own when defending, and Inglis, can still be a lethal one at the back end of season.

player 1, I'll repost here what I posted in the JWH love thread .

While I'm here, I'd like to point out that the week before against the sharks, the 'dogs conceded 13 (yes THIRTEEN) penalties and the games before that they conceded 7, 6, 6, and 8. Yet, here we are, against the Roosters and they concede TWO.
---
To go from conceding 13 to conceding 2 is amazing. The refs were Sutton and Munro when the 'dogs played the sharks."The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

After all the press on how bad our penalty stats were and how we hadn't received more than 7 penalties for 42 odd games they finally gave it to us last weekend to stop all the media hype about us and penalties.
Normal transmission resumed after last week and now nobody can say anything else about it. Look forward to another 42 weeks of being shafted.
