We do need a workhorse forward, but not one on marquee money. You can get workhorse forwards who do lots of tackling for half Myles price.aybe then we could actually afford a decent outside back as well.

If we are cutting him loose one year early then yet can bet it will be at a heavy discount and not the full "marquee" value.Originally posted by fred68 View PostWe do need a workhorse forward, but not one on marquee money. Telegraph today reckons we are paying Myles $400k a year.
I feel sick at the thought that most of our cap in the last few years have been eaten up by Myles, anasta and mini. It's no wonder that we can't buy any decent outside backs - because these underperforming duds eat up our cap.
It's time to get real and punt them permanently from our club. We will continue to be shit whilst these average - or in the case of anasta and mini - shithouse players - eat away at our cap.

Youre Way off the mark with Myles. Firstly he isnt on 400K. Secondly, he is teh only forward, bar Marty Kennedy that is putting his body on the line week after week. He's the only one working hard.Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

SWB is not on the club's rader, i dont know why you would believe that. I think the club can secure decent talent to cover Nate Myles, if the club had a free 700k thats atleast 3 Decent players. You need a good squad and have a even balanced cap used, rather then having multi players on $400k as reported.Originally posted by Vasco View PostSounds like they are freeing up cash for SBW in 2013.

Gallop wants them to be in the comp to "grow the game", they'll afford anything they need to.Originally posted by BUDDY View PostIf Myles is in fact on $400K then we will be paying half that if he goes to the Titans next year. They can't possibly afford $400K with the players they have lined up for next year.
The Storm cap drama was the work of a journalist, not the NRL.
