Is he not also care taking the role of "Head of Football" or something similar at the moment?

The U20s isn't about winning games or competitions, its simply about developing players. At least thats what the smart sides use it for.
Sides like the Warriors actually treat is as a legit comp, win it or come close just about every year, then rarely convert any of their so-called U20s "stars" into genuine first grade talent. Having a bunch of 100kg 19 y.o's trampling over 17 y.o's helps you collect trophies but doesn't do much once all those guys enter a comp where suddenly they are marking up against guys their own size but with significantly more defensive ability and skill than they've ever had to use.

This is not u8s and its a rep competition at this stage, you should be getting the best out of your players and forming a good game plan. This team does not have one and that is the problem, the coach is letting some players dictate on how they want to play. You can't learn anything if the ball only travels to one side of the field 90% of the time every week and the other side only gets it passed to them twice during the whole 80 min game. Because of this stupid play, we have less strike power and the team is only using 11 players because the other 2 aren't getting the ball. The players don't slide in defence and no communication either. Its poor coaching with other teams, catching onto the way our boys are playing. The team is getting beaten by teams down the bottom of the ladder. I take the time to go out and watch our 20s play in the cold just about every game before our top side play and I have coached at a high level to offer some opinion. The other problem is a lot of the players are not happy and as I have said before, some players are not picked for the right positions and then changes take place quite frequently during the game, which does not help and some of those players are not put into those right positions. With the talent they have in this team, they should win the Comp. But can't see it the way its going, unless there are changes. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose some players at the end of the season to other clubsLast edited by Chooky; 07-03-2015, 04:29 PM.

Could also be a dip in form.....Happens to the best of teams. Better now than at the pointy end of the season.
Or maybe the end of a 8 to 10 week training cycle so there's an element of fatigue.

Chooky why don't u name who the players that r unhappy and name ur source and we can tell if they r even good enough for the 20s
No its not fair to name players and I am sure that they are not interested in your judgement on whether they are good enough, considering most of the players in the team are on good coin and talented, they are just not coached well and I do watch nearly every game, so I can express an opinion.Last edited by Chooky; 07-04-2015, 02:32 PM.
