If you move Pierce from halfback, the only place to put him is hooker (and talking of hookers, he's had enough practice at Artarmon)

He is a natural 5/8 playing 9, he would play well in any of the 7 9 or 6 jerseys..........

Okay, if Smith is forced to play Todd...why he would be "forced" to play our new Freddy...then it should be Carney half, Friend 5/8th and Pearce Hooker.

Btw, are there particularly good pickings in the rub & tug brigade in Artarmon? I'm rarely over the bridge these days.

More like has Mini ever played 6, 7, and 9 - why not just stick to playing fullback.

The guy seems to get in the way allot at crucial times in the tackle count, tackles 3-5 should be left to pearce to orchestrate the direction of things (where to be to kick downtown...to kick in goal....to set up an attacking raid....etc).
And pearce really needs to get a frecking FEEL for the ball, 3-4 sweeping kicks to David Mead with nothing to show for it, etc - just allot of over or under kicking compared to Prince who had the right touch for most of the game

Played all his Junior footy at 5/8. Represented QLD and AUST juniors at 5/8. He is good with the ball. I think Smith should give this combination a go! Can't do much worse than we are going at the moment! Was good at putting players through a gap....
