  • Feeling like Penrith supporters used to

I know todays debacle doesn't really come back to Jennings. The whole side were terrible apart from JWH And Evans IMO . But does anyone else think Jennings is starting to fleece of our cash with very little effort in return like he did to Penrith for years. I posted he was down on form a few weeks back and the effort doesn't seem to be there.

hmmm for the money he would get in ESL, I doubt we will be resigning him again. He is a 500k type of player and that money can be spent better elsewhere.

Today showed why its not a good idea to spend 800k on RTS.

I didn't realise he was playing today until he threw that ridiculous forward pass late in the game. He is a straight swap for Ferguson if you ask me.

Everyone knew what Hayne could do, knowing and stopping it are two very different things, Shecky has improved but not a 800k player yet, maybe next contract.

Yeah and he threw that exact same forward pass the other week?!?!?

Seemed a bit confused IMO. Toops was 100% open and Jennings didn't even have to draw the man... Toops was through. Instead, Jennings did something 1/2 way between trying to run himself and trying to pass the ball. Resulted in a bombed try.

TO BE FAIR though... how many tries were bombed tonight? There were a few and if we'd scored them, IMO Cronulla woulda been on the ropes. It would have broken their back and upped our confidence.

Instead, we never got that lucky break. Cronulla have what... 5 or so Origin grade forwards. They're all pretty stupid but if you mess around and don't put them to rest, they'll out-muscle you.

Edit: was anybody else there? IMO during the first half it was REALLY dark on the field. Awkward time where there was no sun and the lights couldn't light the field. Is 4:00 a good time for a game at a small stadium?

They may be awake to RTS's step but his major strength has been with the ball in his hand 10 metres out from the opposition line. Sweeping around the back finding space or the right man to pass too. The problem today was that we were never in a position for him to do that. How many opportunities did we get in the 2nd half in their 20metre zone. I can't remember one.

Everyone's been awake to it for a few years now.

Good luck stopping when he gets some room though - as he's shown consistently.

I only feel like a Penrith supporter when i'm camping and at least 20km away from the nearest shower and toilet.

don't know if it's attitude or confidence or what, but he peaked at the 2013 GF and has been on a downward slope since (and it's affecting tupou now as well). It's amazing how things just aren't quite coming off for him at all this season, plenty of marginally forward passes and half breaks which would sees him get away but pulled down at the last second. I'm hoping things will start clicking for him soon but can't see it happening tbh. IMO it was all worth it for his effort in 2013 and that amazing gf try, but i think his best days are well and truly behind him now. Doesn't deserve another sky blue jersey either
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths
