There is absolutely no denying that Pearce has been horrendous at Origin level. Unfortunately, despite that main period towards the latter of 2014, I don't see too much that has changed with Pearce in terms of his handling of high pressure situations. We will probably see the same old player from previous origins. He simply doesn't have what it takes to perform under immense pressure. That youtube video is a pretty sad compilation but IMO, this gif probably epitomises it all

I think that Pearce has been lucky that in the last couple of years at our club he has had a solid structure around him to work with. Our forward pack is one of the most mobile and defensive packs in the game. People would argue that the Bulldogs forwards are more elite but a lot of them are big and Lazy. I think when the interchanges get cut we will benefit more than anyone.

Pearce also has a solid backline around him. At least 4 rep players at any one time in the last 3 years have been in our backline.

Imagine if Pearce was a halfback at cronulla or the Panthers. His career would really be in the balance then.

I do follow and support Australian teams and athletes but can proudly say I never have and never will participate in any bogan oi oi oi chants. Fark that. I cringe everytime I hear it.
I took my family to a special VIP viewing of the Dr Who Symphony Spectacular. It was the night before the show. We met the characters and one of the Doctors from the series. And there were two girls in there who were pissed and obnoxious by the time we got into the Ent Cent to watch the start of the dress rehearsal.

It was truly revolting when one of them stood up when the rehearsal started and screamed that Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi bullshit. I had had enough and let out a good old fashioned "Siddown!!" footy-style - much to the enjoyment of all the others who had shelled out a fortune for these tickets.

The moral of the story is that I hate that shit too.

I find Origin a pain in the arse. I hate the hype. I hate the shithouse weekend before. I hate how almost every year Fittler came back busted. And I hate that I am usually almost comatose from junk food by half time.

As far as who I go for it comes down which team has more roosters. But I don't really give a crap either way.

I agree - I always hope Queensland win, hope ALL roosters play well - but more than anything else, pray that NO ROOSTERS ARE INJURED.
There's a reason why the young and idealistic become the old and cynical.

Spend the day in Brisbane on origin day just one time and you will appreciate origin more. Those redneckers carry on like a bunch of idiots.
I love to see them lose. I love origin.

Junior works well in our system , unfortunately if the Blues Fail he will be the ScapeGoat for all the other deficiencies of the side if they win they can do better by dropping him and putting the Grub in - Lose , lose situation.

That's how I see it - Mitchell is on a hiding to nothing. Good luck to him all the same.
Chalk me up as another that hates the Shyte of Origin.

Its not like Pearce is saying he doesn't want to play. He is a big boy and will survive professionally regardless of any 2015 S00 results.

Its not Origin week, or even the crap half-round that comes before it that does it for me...It's the fact that every player who has a half decent game from about round 2 is automatically mentioned by the caller as either 'being in the mix' or 'in the running for a blue jumper'

I drives me round the twist. Origin week is bad enough, without a 10 week lead in on who the Blues might pick. Rabs Warren is the worst of them, but most of the others tend to mention it as well - it's as if they think that's all we're worried about.

Origin is 3 good games of midweek footy - nothing more and nothing less. I can't believe how it's been allowed to hijack and affect half the season, when most supporters don't give a crap about it. I can't wait until it's over and we can go back to a full round of more important club games.
