and yet a player that has been consistently ordinary or missing in every club game and the test against NZ is still lauded as a legend of the game.
Ingli$ must have photos of someone.
The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

Inglis is clearly injured. And yes I agree that his involvement is often quite low but he is a definite game breaker. He only needs to touch the ball once or twice to pull a try. He's also a bit like sonny in that it's the work he does off the ball and drawing defenders when running decoys. He's no Thurston but he's not rubbish either.

pearce got hammered in the courier mail up here in qld. They had him dressed up in a blue wig and a caption like ""the clowns back"" or something like that and a bigger picture below of all the qlders laughing. (when napster got pranked by the team)

ori9in is shit and there only 1 winner. nein

Up to Mitchell to prove them wrong.

Sadly he is fighting with one hand tied behind his back because he also has to make up for his halves partner.

It's become such overblown nonsense like a Channel 9 reality TV show and just interferes with my team's premiership campaign.

I enjoy the spectacle and the event but all the clichéd crap that goes along with it is ridiculous. I really think only Queenslanders really care about it. The notion of being overly proud of your state is nonsensical to me. I feel the same way about patriotism and nationalism too. I do follow and support Australian teams and athletes but can proudly say I never have and never will participate in any bogan oi oi oi chants. Fark that. I cringe everytime I hear it.

I hear you loud and clear TCB. I grew up in QLD and was in high school when Origin was invented. I don't have any loyalty to their team just because I was born up there. I grew up next door to a country pub and everyone was drunk by kick off. That's not passion..that's alcohol.

I've chosen Sydney as my home so my loyalties are to the Blues but I've really little tolerance for the hype which goes along with it these days. Plus I hate the blame game which goes along with the pressure on players to perform miracles during the series. It doesn't surprise me that so many retired Origin players are now in rehab or suffering from depression or substance abuse problems. It's very disturbing and something I realise is becoming more prevalent as we grow older..I can't imagine how overwhelming it can be for some young players..

Risk and reward. The pressure, accolades and crucifixions and tribalism are what make it the greatest sporting event in the country. It makes and breaks careers and creates league folklore. I still vividly remember Timmins potting that field goal to get us home and kimmorley throwing that intercept to bowen. I love it and the circus that comes with it.

As for the mental health of the athletes, they live in a fantasy world where they are treated like gods and idolised. Its a harsh reality when you come back to earth at 30 and have nothing. Things are improving now and its vital that players have the support in place to keep them grounded when money, women and drugs are thrown at them. Post football planning needs to take place the moment a career begins.

SOO is and always has been about Qld and only Qld. Could anyone seriously imagine the media and unbearable fools on Nein tolerating NSW winning 8 series in a row? No they'd all be saying the format is tired and we NEED to help Qld get back on top again. I used to enjoy origin but now I find it very tiresome.

This forum is either incredibly cynical or just stupid.

RR2 I am not stupid. At the turn of the century everyone was whinging about how SOO had lost it's relevance and past it's use by date. Qld hadn't won for a while and were getting smashed. They then went on an 8 year winning streak and suddenly origins wasn't irrelevant or out of date anymore!
