  • Napa is either 17th or 18th man for QLD

apparently DCE has been ruled out of origin after getting injured last night and either Napa or Michael Morgan will get the final spot in the squad, whoever misses out will be 18th man.

I'm surprised Napa was not already in. He has been awesome this year and is improving every week.

Napa is perfect for Origin. He's an absolute beast who will search and destroy a couple of Blues.

I just hope the red mist doesn't descend too much, resulting in a lengthy suspension.

I don't understand the fascination with McGuire. I would take Napa over him any day of the week - especially in Origin.

Rest easy - It will be Morgan in for DCE , should have been the Utility from the start.

Plays Fullback , Half Back , 5/8 and Centre/Lock and is fast enough to play wing.

Has already shown he is plenty tough enough after repelling the Bull Doggs and the Broncs over the last 2 weeks, even picked up a hat trick from memory.

              I guess Napa missed out?

he is currently 18th man, but that is with DCE still named on the QLD bench, reports from QLD suggest he might be ruled out as early as today, meaning either Napa or Morgan will come into the 17.

If it's a replacement for DCE it would have to be Morgan - unless he changes his mind and wants more size because of the NSW bench.

Surely you'd pick Napa and send him out there to neutralise the impact of Fifita and Klemmer.

I agree that he's a much better option than McGuire.

I think McGuire will go great at Origin. Like Napa, he is made for it. And they could only pick one.

Can someone tell me how badly affected we are by Origin. I read the other day that due to Byes, it would only really be a problem for us if someone was injured and could not back up. Is that the case for 2 of the 3 games?

From what I've gleaned we might have a torrid time across the ditch against the warriors, I'm hoping we can keep our superior p/d going through origin

McGuire is a very good player who has been knocking on the door of selection for a lot longer then Napa. I think he will get his chance in game two, in place of Lillyman.

From memory we only have one game affected by Origin. We could have many players out for it though.

Will be interesting to see if they stick with their loyalty card if they lose the first game.

Mal is such a smug prick. I could coach that side he has. Wait until all those stars retire at the same time.

I can see Mal retiring at the same time as his immortals. He will definitely be found out once he is missing the perfect team.

He pulled out of his political career after 2 mins when he realised he couldn't win, my guess is he will do the same with coaching lol.
