Exposure the highest level can only be a good thing for Jake at this point in his career. He's literally achieved everything else. It would only make him a better player.

I can understand the selfishness behind not wanting club players to play rep football but it's naive when you can appreciate the tangible and emotional benefits an origin series can have on a players development.

Being selected as 18th man will also benefit his development without any potential injuries!

Hopefully the NRL wake up and make SOO stand alone weekends from next season, meaning clubs won't have to play with weakened teams.

          Totally right on R6

Especially palpable as in past seasons where our rep players return refreshed from the Origin experience & lift the entire team to another level of excellence.

Smith was slapped with a grade-one dangerous contact charge.

His carry over points expired 5 days ago(for another grubby act) so he's free to play.

Jakes really got Origin written all over him.

Probably time he had a wash actually.

But on the serious side he would probably be in the top 10 players in the game today...a true champion of the modern day game.

                Agree.

The loyalty to Smith may have cost QLD and the Kangaroos success in recent times.

I can't believe that some baffoons rate Segayaro above Friendy.

I'm busting to see the energy levels when Jake and Fergo play together.

Smith deserves the national and origin jumper. Not only is he a great origin player, he's also a great captain and a clutch player. Friend is above seggyaro in my opinion and is surely next in line. I'll dread seeing friend in a qld jersey as he is my favourite player. Tough as nails. Born to bleed.

Playing in an ordinary team benefits Segeyaro in that way.Imagine how friendy would look playing in Riff colours. Much like what he looked like in 2012, when he was practically our team.
