  • Jennings form ??

I'm sure most people will disagree with me but I actually think Jenko is out of form by his standards. It seems to me hos first thought now is to try and set up toops and offload. A strike centre, which he is should always back himself. Looks to be indecisive in his running so to speak. The try that Toops scored in the corner from Jennings is a perfect example. Yes they scored, but watch the replay and have a look at the gap if he came off his left foot and just ran straight, he is always sliding in attack and cramping Toops. Just my opinion guys but he's a fair way from his best at the moment.

No I agree with you. I think he is lacking in confidence and there doesn't seem to be a game go by where he doesn't lose the ball in the tackle. Usually after he is in the clear and waving that right arm around carrying the ball.

I think he could have scored two trys last night if he had of kept it instead of passed.

In saying that I don't think he is far off. I wouldn't say his form has been bad, except for the Broncos game where I thought he was terrible.

100% agree with you. Saw Troops' last try and thought to myself why the f*** did Jennings not step off his left foot? He is trying too hard to set-up Toops and isnt backing himself

Jenko is a little off his best but he will get there.

His form and the clunky left edge were a by-product of the 4 straight losses prior to last nights terrific win.

A couple more powerhouse team performances like yesterday and he'll find his rhythm and confidence once again.

Another occasion Jimmy drifted across to his left and wanted Jenko to cut inside and give him that option....Jenko stays on a shortened outside and gets bundled into touch.

He's our only guy from last night still not quite in the groove... Started the year brilliantly though.

He will get there again...still dangerous even not playing his best footy.

Bit of overkill here, perhaps. League is a simple game, and MJ is getting the job done.

IMO they're working well as a team and that's all I care about. If it's Toops, Jennings or Cords scoring the try, who cares so long as it's scored?

FWIW I thought Jennings scored a nice try against the Tigers until the refs retrospectively called 'TACKLED' and awarded a penalty against us. He also made space for most of Toops and Cords' tries, so I reckon he earned his money easily.

Edit: Also, Jennings' edge didn't let in any tries despite the Tigers having a classy attacking outfit. The first 20 or so was TOUGH footy and we made sure that the Tigers didn't use all the penalties...etc to get on top of us. Coulda happened IMO!

He does have the odd lapse in concentration
& the context of this thread is his attack which we all tend to agree
                defense is his strength
                that's the bottom line
he's also got worked over by Skids the weekend before

It's a simple game so it should also be easy to identify when an individual is performing below his best
