Earlier talk was a two year deal for maloney. That would have been preferential. Interesting to see that the club isn't thinking about at least trailing tupou at fb. I wouldn't mind seeing him and shek switching positions to see how he handles it. Could save us money which would allow us to go after a prop.

I love these breaking news contract articles that say absolutely nothing and just re-hash information which has filtered through over the past month.

Yes we are close to signing SKD, if we haven't already.
Yes we are close to signing Jimmy, if we haven't already.
Toups has been told he can talk to other clubs, as his money won't match what he can get elsewhere come contract/year end.

Not bad thinking actually... why do teams always sit a FB in training on the wing if he plays better in the centre of the field and is more suited to a roaming role rather than a left/right lane role? Todd Carney was an okay fullback When getting prepared to put on his #6. Duges on the wing last weekend... not so good.
