Our one advantage is that JWH is out, so they can't just blow the whistle and say 'JWH... JWH!!! Where is he? Oh that guy!!! Yeah you... penalty mate, you'll be sent off next time!!! I'm putting you on report as a precaution too!!!' I've seen it a few times when he's been nowhere near the play.

Just on Ben Cummins, and I wish i had footage of this, did anyone see the coin toss ahead of the Sharks clash? There was Gallen, Pearce and Cummins in the tunnel. I can't remember who won the toss but afterwards Gallen shook the refs hand and Pearce ignored Cummins and turned to the interviewer... Cummins then gave Pearce a very awkward look as if "fine, don't shake my hand." You could sense the tension between our captain and Cummins. There's clearly a mutual dislike.

St George are the worst performing team under Sutton. They've won only 34% of games he has refereed compared with a win rate of 54% overall.

But in terms of penalties, he consistently screws us - gives us the fewest of all the teams and gives our opposition the most.

That's interesting Tommy. I didn't see it. But the Captain should be shaking the referees hand before the game no matter what. Even if its to play mind games and play on the human nature of the referee, he should be doing it. Players like Ennis and Cameron Smith would never miss the opportunity. Any advantage is a good advantage. Even if it's only 1%. Maybe it was just an oversight as he is new to the job.
