  • Is there a Lawyer in the house?

Following Rothfield's article - Are there any grounds for the club to take legal action against the NRL?

What would it take to see ICAC investigate this matter further?

Rusty would need to give Archer a bottle of Grange

He probably gave him one of those extra premiers rings that he ordered weeks before the big dance.

Sorry but this is getting a little silly now.

There's no football threads on the first page!

How on Earth could we possibly take legal action?

I agree. What an Eastern suburbs thing to ask.

ICAC only investigate public officials. NSW Police may investigate match fixing. Australian Sports commission may also investigate match fixing. Very severe penalties, so may be hard to get anything. Mind you, one Robert Finch might be feeling a little nervous just now.

                  Your kidding Tommy

Fighting to compete on a level playing field should be our number one priority.

Do you enjoy the frustration or something? Personally, i'm not a fan of being reamed in my spare time.

"How on earth can we take legal action?"

I'm no laywer, thats why i'm putting out there.

Do you think that it may fall under "match fixing"?

                      Match-fixing?
                      Corrupting results of matches?
                      Betting manipulation?
Call in the Crime Commission to investigate...they might lay charges ...wouldn't cost us any money.

We could sue the NRL and its officials for loss of income, for starters.

There's nothing silly about our being persecuted by the NRL and its officials...and our protesting it.

Smith, Archer, and some others should be sacked immediately.

Buzzs' rant has payed dividends already. Sharks were only penalised twice tonight.

Yes if sharks won the penalty count it was buzz's rant. If souths won the count it was the nrl gifting them yet another victory.

We may as well all put a bullet in our heads before the government breaks down our door.

Why is it an "Eastern Suburbs thing to ask"?

As in the only people that drink coffee live in Bondi?

Meanwhile, coffee is the worlds 2nd most traded commodity.

I just find it uncomfortable to suggest seeking legal action against the nrl for referee bias.. And creating a petition to serve the nrl.. It's a bit precious. Although I also understand I seem to be the minority here. Despite my equal love for the chookies.

I can only channel energy into things I can control. Referees and penalties are not one.
