Great performance

Before the performance gets lost in all the ref bashing (and rightfully so usually I stay out of it but tonight was a joke, I suggest people read into Bellamy & Ashley Klein's history if anyone is wondering why he was so scared to blow us a penalty in that second half) I just want to say what a good performance.

We dominated them, that whole second half we were rolling the ruck with ease and dominated field position even with JWH ruled out. The only time Melbourne were getting field position was through penalties. We probably should've made more use of that possession and position but conditions weren't great.

Huge shout outs to;

RTS - Every one knows he can do freakish stuff but on a wet track that didn't suit him he did everything you want from your fullback
Jenko - Awesome defence
Jimmy - Take a bow, that run from the in goal area was inspiration. Kicking game was on point.
Friendy - What a difference he makes to our go forward, such a smart dummy half.
Napa - Played huge minutes and killed it, 15 carries 163 metres 34 tackles. I love it when the opposition 8 & 10 are running away from this bloke - fear factor!
Aubusson - How do you drop him? Awesome defence, always a threat in attack.
Taukeiaho - Beast, 15 carries, 149 metres, 30 tackles. Always getting us on the front foot
Liu - Great impact off the bench, strong runs (9 for 91m) and some great passes in and around the ruck. Back to what he does best.

Hard to pick a bad player tonight, I don't think we had one but those were the stand outs for mine.

On that performance, we're the real deal this year. I was starting to get a little worried but that was a strong, strong performance. We win it under any other ref in the comp.

That's why this loss hurts so much. Our guys busted their asses out there, without JWH for the majority of the game.

They were absolutely destroyed by Klein and his band of turds.

Yeah it was a good performance and real team effort to be sure the only possible criticism from me would be Pearce's kicking game close to the line as usual bugger all repeat set's.

Napa made Bromwich his bitch I didn't see him all night. Jenko was great in defence though I thought Toops could have saved that try.

Agree with your post R_6 great effort from most of the team. Would have liked more from Pearce TBH, however Klein was man of the match with his efforts especially in the second half pretty much deciding the outcome.

Yep they were great tonight maybe two kicks and a grounding short of excellent. So proud of the way they hung in without Jared. Maybe when everyone gets back there's possibility of success but the refs show they hold the greater hand.

So many sets of six we miss out on AND it gives our opposition more. But we only lost by a point.

But losing is losing, if the reffing trend continues what can we do?

How much more awesomely do we have to play?
