    let get rid of Maloney lol

    Whe will you blokes wake up and realise he is not the problem, the guy is our only form of attacking skill, his kicking game leaves Pearce's for dead, Pearce is an imposter looks great when the going is good, clueless and goes hiding when games are tough, i really hope he plays origin because it is 3 games we will not have him in the 7.

    Re-Sign Maloney at all costs

        I don't understand the Pearce hate. I thought he played well tonight. Wasn't outstanding but wasn't particularly bad either. We could do a lot worse than Pearce.

          Pearce was only good when SBW played 1st reciever.

            I had high hopes for Pearce this season hoping second half of the 2014 season was signs of things to come. It appears that purple patch of form may have been Barba's in 2012 and Haynes second half of 2009 or Carney in 2010, being career best form. Pearce was poor tonight and Maloney's moments almost won us the game. His pass to SKD for the try 'butchered' by MacDonald was a peach and the one on the other side for Tupou's was just as good. Agree with the OP his kicking left Pearce's for dead.

            Id I was Trent...I would be getting Pearce to the old bloke again for a chat about half back play and for Pearce to watch Jonathon Thurston's kicks from midfield. Pearce appears to put no thought at all into his midfield bombs...it looks like auto pilot and no spiral or angle to make FB or winger move. Just straight down the throat most of the time and by the time the chasers get there the kick returner is usually up to the 30m line. BTW Maloney led the kick chase most of the time.

                You must have missed the Sharks game where every last tackle kick from Maloney went straight to the man....or my personal favourite when we had 4 on 2 and he decided to kick across field straight into the hands of Gerard Beale. Or last week's game when on tackle 4 he decided to try and kick a field goal when falling to the ground instead of taking the tackle, and following up with a simple one on one miss on Ben Hunt which ultimately led to us losing. He was much better tonight and so he should have been because he has been working off a very low base in recent weeks.

                    Pearce isn't a halfback, that's been established beyond all reasonable doubt. He has a great passing game and defends very well. But he can not kick offensively.
