It was great to see Sutton apologised to JWH for one of those penalties last week.

He still couldn't find it in heart to give us one lousy penalty in the second half.

It's the 3 or 4 extra penalties that he could have given the Broncos but didn't that was our reward.

I dont think there is any biase in the penalty count , it goes back 5-10 years ago when the storm bought the wrestle into the game , these players on this list are in the middle or on the edges , trying to milk time in the contact phase varies on its interpretation with different refs , the worring names on that list is pearcy and maloney more teams are spotting those 2 up now knowing they are a vital cog in our machine

But no other team has 3 players in the top 10! Yet we use the same refs, compete under the same rules, playing systems are all very similar and everyone wrestles.

              WHAT IS THE ANSWER ?

I watch all the games with both eyes open and it is the Penalties that the other sides should be getting ( which are exactly the same but don"t ) that draw my attention and quimsical ire - Why ??What do we do differently that perhaps draws the attention to the Refs, I know we don't lie down

For a bloke who doesn't defend in the middle third that is shocking.

I knew JWH would be on top of that list when a year ago I think he was sent off by Gavin Badger for using the word "bull Shit".

                      Hi Axe,

I only have the top 20 and there is no Souffs player on that list.

Jake Friend is 12th and has conceded 33 penalties.

Thanks 2026. It may take you until your name to find a Souffs player

Its an interesting stat but RL is in the worst state its ever been in, not because of the penalties that a ref awards but those he doesn't, their inconsistency and the ineptitude of the NRL management is degrading the game a lot.

I'd be interested to see how many penalties Jimmy gave away in the three years prior to 2013.

Yes, that would be most interesting. The change of jumper effect.
