Personally , I crave to see our current crop exploit the off load .

I once suggested to a current squad member to try it and he said if he did he would be able to use it the week after in Reggie's.

Obviously I took it at face value and surmised that only the chosen few are allowed to play off the cuff.
Yeah I've mentioned previously that Liu has an excellent left arm offload but has only ever used in in 20s and for Newtown. But it's a very high risk offload, the type that means you score or you lose possession. He had a good combination with Henare Wells at Newtown where he'd poke through the line and get his left arm around the corner inside to Wells on the burst.

It looks to me like Robbo has a principle of "show me you can do the 1%ers consistently and play within a structure then you can bring in the fancy stuff". And it looks like that process takes multiple years. In saying that Robbo has built up Liu's game in other ways to add value to the team. He never had that play before the line ability in the lower grades and now he is invariably the link man who takes the ball as first receiver on a shift to the right and goes to the line to play out the back to Pearce. His delivery is as crisp as you will see. I think it won't be until next year that we see him use his offload a little. At this point he's still trying to hold down that starting spot. Unlimited potential in this bloke though, much like SST.

      Good post Yak.

You have improved on your lack luster and lazy efforts in the past.

      You now use paragraphs.
