  • We have the talent but

Our attitude and discipline is far from that of A Maguire, Bellamy or Bennet coached team. Robbo might be technical but doesn't demand the same as these coaches. Just my opinion and hold great merit.

Two minor premierships and a rort costing us two premierships says otherwise. It's only April.

Jakes return was refreshing but our attitude is shit................. Attitude comes from what the coach demands, we've always been a side that loses the games we should win easily. We need a coach that makes players accountable for their efforts, Robbo had Taylor and Green by his side and for mine Taylor demands a high standard!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but I can't agree that our coach is lacking in the discipline department.

Watching the way average players work for their respective coaches as apposed to our 17 across the board shows the attitude or lack of instilled by our coach.. Just my observation.

What are your thoughts on the way the Souths players worked for coach Maguire tonight?

Kegs we were 2 and 4 same time last year and most of the penners wrote us off. I think Tommy was on suicide watch.

Robbo's 3rd season as head coach and he has won - 1 premiership, 1 WCC and 2 minor premierships and your not satisfied?

Where 6 rounds into the season.

                      Give the man a chance!

Pretty sure he's not a newbie mate.

You're right though, time to harden the fark up - its a long season.

And we've got the second highest points difference. Lots of teams have been inconsistent.

Not saying it's rigged but we 'beat' the Broncos (FB touched the match winning kick on the way down so shoulda been counted), Cronulla are always random/unpredictable and we've had some significant injuries (Friend out bossibly cost us the Souths game... Inglis tackled in goal by Friend rather than a 100m try... Fergo and Guerra woulda helped us secure wins against Cronulla/Brisbane.)

Sure we're rough, but IMO 2nd highest PD says something when you've had a few losses. The Broncos hardly showed us that they are the gold standard... they narrowly got over the line against us in front of 30,000 screaming fans with a LOT of help from the refs (when we had a VERY narrow turn around.) Would they repeat that in NSW with Guerra, Friend and Fergo playing 80 minutes?

We'll see how the Storm go. I have a feeling we'll come back well recovered from a Friday night misadventure and roll them.

Souths... definitely haven't forgotten how to lose. We have a better points difference than them, and they looked really poor against Parra/Cowboys. Remember we smashed the Cowboys in Townsville (who beat Souffs 30-12 in front of 30,000 roaring Souths fans at ANZ stadium.)

We've been scrappy/inconsistent... but Bellyache/Bennett/Madge haven't been THAT good either. We've done alright with Friend, Guerra and Fergo out IMO...

Exactly, I still think we'll win this year. I thought it the moment we lost the prelim and I don't see any reason to change my mind. Our losses have been by 8, 8 and 4 which proves that it's just a few little things that aren't going our way and you would think that with a full strength side those losses would have been wins.

I disagree about the souths comparison however. Cowboys are a completely different side now to what they were in round 1 and imo will at least get to 5 wins in a row.

My prediction atm for the top 4 is us, cows, broncs and rabbits.

I would love to see the prelims as Roosters vs Broncos and Cowboys vs Rabbitohs and then a Roosters Cows final.
