Ideally we land Folau for 2 seasons by then Latrell Mitchell will be ready for first grade.

We do need a good front rower.

Getting Folau for 1 or 2 years is exactly the way I would go as well! Smith can use that discretionary fund so that we can get Folau with not much of it counting towards our cap.

If Kennedy is gone for 2 years then I think it would be an extra good idea to go after Pauli Pauli and Junior Paulo! Both have size and power and are only young so we could get them cheap. I don't think Smith would come cheap and as Tommy said he is too old.

It appears likely the game is about to change by reducing the number of interchanges. Perhaps the 17 becomes 16? Who knows but either way it should lead the game back to smaller more mobile forwards with big minutes. Possibly this means Dogs will offload their big boppers

Doesn't mean smaller forwards at all and I'm not sure why people keep saying it. Plenty of big men play big minutes in the nrl. Players like fifita would become the mvps with reduced interchange. If teams want to go smaller then big boppers 110kg plus who can play 60+ minutes and offload will be beasts.

I wouldn't mind Paul Vaughan as our next recruitment target.

Interesting you say that cause I'd say we'd have a mobile squad compare to the larger packs like souffs and the dogs.Most our backrow can play 80 minutes of footy and Friend can also play and defend for 80mins. I can't see any of the burgess's playing long minutes.

How can there be no room in our pack? Meehan and Kennedy are both out of contention but were both likely to play some first grade in 2015. They have not been replaced.

I really rated him when he was at Manly but he hasn't managed to kick on.

We won't buy a fullback if we want to keep Latrell. We need a centre for two years and to retain maloney.

Why do we need a centre? We have SKD, Fergo and Jennings

And I don't think Maloney's worth the money, he is a turnstile. As long as we have a kicker to replace him.

I'm sure we could find some LOD type player for a year or two at the end of his career. Souths have a heap of them and they are very effective, we don't really have one atm
