Okay not funny (ha...ha... jism's come out and tried to pull off some sarcasm.) However, can we cool it and quit hating on our boys? I'm 100% for the team that our management decide we can afford. None of our top players included within the cap are $hit, and I'd keep them all if we could. Fact is the NRL's about business... you win some, you lose some.

I don't hate Tupou. I just think that once you take the bomb reception out of his game, there is very little left over. Last nights performance showed me just how expendable he is, if it means helping to keep any of those you mentioned. His hit ups are as weak as pi$$ and a liability. He looks like his confidence is absolutely gone.

Unfortunately his moving on would not free up a lot of space though.

Exactly. I went "Shit" and haven't thought about it, barring the complaints about piss poor kicking from Pearce (which is an ongoing thing), since the end of the 84 minutes.

Fergo is out for 4 months
Our u20's are getting flogged each week.

As usual plenty of overreacting going on here. Let's look at some facts here.
1. Broncos are leading the comp having won 5 from 6. They have a very good roster despite missing Hodges and Boyd. With a very coach regardless of how much some people on here hate the bloke.
2. We were coming off a short turn around and probably only trained once if that properly all week.
3. We didn't get a single penalty in the second half and ended up losing the count 9-5. Plus we played the entire game in front of 30k screaming Broncos fans.
4. We were without two of our best attacking weapons in Ferguson and Guerra.
5. It was an extremely physical and fast game and neither team played poorly, hence why it was one of the best games of the year so far.
6. If Maloney's drop goal that hits the cross bar is a metre longer we win and people's perceptions of the game would probably be vastly different.
7. Although this is not a fact I feel we were pretty unlucky with the first Broncos try where Hunt darted through. Cordner's job in that instance was to get forward on Hunt to make him play early. Instead because Thaiday stops his progress there is a huge gap for Hunt to go through and Cordner is now stuck 3 metres out from the line and now all he can do is go hard to make up for the space he lost. Of course you're going to get beaten on the inside when you're desperate thinking you've gotta make a one on one tackle a couple of metres out from your line. If Thaiday doesn't impede Cordner on his outside shoulder there is no gap and Hunt certainly doesn't score. If that allowed Pearce should set up a block runner to take out the outside shoulder of the A defender every time he wants to run of the right foot. He'll score every time because it creates an unfair advantage.

Sure it hasn't been the best start to the year with the Kennedy investigations, the injuries, a loss to the Sharks, contract rumours and RTS' departure, but it's not like we are being grossly outplayed on the footy field and anyone who thinks teams like St George or the Knights are playing better footy than us because they're above us on the table should look at the teams they've played and the shape they were in.
