The only time we as a club benefited from the league splashing money around was around Super League, when Gus got Freddy from the Riff using the Arl cash. Smith and co will never "help" a strong club like us. The SBW deal was all Uncle Nick. Having Falou at Easts would be awesome, but will never happen!

Your probably right. Smith won't open the war chest to assist one of the more successful clubs of recent times.

With that said, Falou has a brand to protect and won't play for any of the wood ducks.It will require a sizable TPA for it come together from someone like Channel 9, Qantas etc
