He has to get rid of all the rubbish niggle in his game.

    It's too costly!

Heads drop when he gives away silly penalties. It's deflating and undoes all the good work.

He gets himself so fired up that it starts to effect his awareness.

By all means we need an enforcer. However, controlled aggression and the scoreboard should be the focus.

I like the niggle. May cost us a penalty every now and then but forwards have to assert their dominance. It lifts the team and gives them confidence.

I'd love to see him in a boxing ring with that grub thaiday in the offseason.

I loved his intensity. He gave it to the drongos. We needed that.

The best bit about last night's performance from JWH was that he didn't fall for the Brisbane niggle. He roughhoused but to the best of my ability didn't get a penalty.

Pearce described jared as the teams " spiritual leader" so maybe he felt he needed to be aggressive in order to show the boys how's it done? Maybe he felt threatened in front of the boys. Either way he gave it to them.

Did you want him to take a step back with Thaiday? That would have really lifted the team.
His problem is that refs give penalties for things others get away with. Sutton even had to apologise to him last night.

thighsday avoided jwh in the second half but the napster hunted thighsday.

Other than the push and shove which potentially was a distraction for the team, I thought Jarrod played pretty well.
He was great in defence, and ran well.
He gave away a few penalties and through the ball away a couple of times but overall a solid performance.

Was it tackle 4 when Jimmy hit the cross bar?

Did we have 7 tackles in that set?

Didn't Jared regather in the ideal field goal position (still only on the 4th) only to push a pass and turn over possession?

This is what i mean about it effecting his awareness. It also effects the teams overall composure.

By all means play hard and agressive but with control.

I thought he was good, really fired the boys up with his battle against Thaiday.

After that push and shove from the knock on 10m out I thought it was very noticeable that our boys lifted their intensity and then our bench came on and took it to another level. It was after that we really started to dominate the game and got the lead back.

You are equating his aggressiveness with making the decision to pass on the 4th?

That entire play was helter skelter by everyone.

                        It's called composure,John.

We had 2 more tackles to pot the field goal if he surrenders gets up and plays the ball.

He was 20m out and pretty much straight in front of the sticks.

JWH spent last nights game talking big and showing his presence through shoving, rubbing heads and giving away dumb penalties. But notice the man that was on the other end of JWH... Did ark up at JWH once... Just let him steam and then show how he enforces... By tackling strong and not giving away ****ing stupid penalties.

Dont get me wrong, I dislike Thaiday as much as the next NSW supporter... but he let his game do the talking... not his mouth. JWH needs to take a page. The team comes first. The game comes first. The ball and meters. Respect the ball, make meters, stop the other team from making meters.

His carries were strong, but those penalties... we unforgivable. He knows he ****ed up. Robbo will give him a ripe reaming. We will win by 30+ next week.

Maranta touched the ball it should have been a scrum to us anyway.

Yeah I know about composure mate. It's usually shown by our halves. Not an aggressive guy who only knows one way like Jared. I don't like the penalties either. But I think you are expecting a little too much from him on that play 😀. Jared wouldn't even know what tackle it was.
