I suspect that's about what he was offered, which is more than any of those blokes are on.

Don't lose the fact that if Tomkins hadn't packed it in he would be signed up by now on the offer we made. It was only us and them and them only because of that.

Not bagging the guy but he has flaws that will never be overcome, one being height, the other being ball playing ability (although that has improved a lot.) He's a nice zippy little FB and I really enjoy having him ar Bondi... he's done a lot of good and will be missed!

IMO joey summed him up on the weekend 'he has a nice right foot step, probably the best in the game and he almost always steps off the right foot.'

IMO for $800k you can buy more than a right-foot step. For example... I think the conversation now has to shift towards who will replace him and what we'll do with the $$$ we had reserved for resigning him.
It's going to cause them some cap issues down the track. Massive gamble. There's no way we would have matched that money even if we had cap space.

Wake up everyone!, season is not over and you're already playing 2016.

We spend years putting up with oldman mini who couldn't make a linebreak to save his life and now after all that time, the chosen one decides to leave over 400k, which is what we paid mini for one of his seasons he was out injured during 2005-2009, and now you are calling us to stop sobbing

good sir we are entitled to our rant.

I love RTS but is he worth $800K?? How many times has he done what Thurston does for the Cowboys and singlehandedly won us matches? Never as far as I can remember. He is nowhere near that level just yet.

            No he's not worth it.

But he is worth what we could have got him for before Tomkins crapped himself.

The salary cap will be increased to $6.8 million next years plus it's Tomkins out $750k RTS in $800k..

I know it is a rhetorical question; but no he isn't and the Warriors may have actually hindered their chances by tying up so much money in a young fullback who is relatively untested in that position and is playing in a top-flight team.

Once the emotions die down, iI am sure all of us will enjoy the year we have with him and look forward to the Latrell or Fergo going into that position.

On 800k he would probably be being paid more than our Captain.

He's a much better player now than what Mini was at any time between 2006 and 2014.

The only thing I am embarrassed about is that the club only offered $400K. Surely he was worth offering $550-600K. Sam Moa is reportedly on $400K. He is great but has nowhere near the ability to influence a result like RTS and no where near his upside.

"Spend years putting up..." (Davos 2015) Yes how hard those years were, specially 2013...eh?

How ridiculous its rapping on about 'loyalty from RTS when fans aren't loyal to the players like Mini or SKD, 2 heroes of 2013 yet they cop so much AND some want/wanted them gone.

I will say I appreciate your Knighthood though. Any relations to Tony Abbott? Sir ROC...sounds goood!

You were one of the numpties who didn't think RTS was up to it either. Wasn't he a hero of 2013?

Wow!!! talk about delusional...Forget all Mini achieved in his career to give a young player, who hasn't achieved anything in comparison (am I repeating myself here?) in our club more credit.
I shouldn't be too harsh though. Some of you are suffering from separation anxiety.
Meantime, it's good to read some rational opinions from some.

At 400k, they're pretty much showing him the door.

Perhaps they have other plans for next season.

Maybe Folau or Hayne? We managed to land SBW so anything is possible.

From 2005-2009 ( i still get shivers when I see the number 2009) the only time we saw mini's name on a piece of paper, was when we saw the injury list. We haven't had a proper fb for at least 10 years given the changing role of fb these days. This is probably the most impact we have seen from our number one in a good 10 years.

SKD , hahahahaha tell me you've never broken your coffee table in your lounge room after watching him pull off one of his signature moves. Ah here we go a classic from a few weeks ago
