It's all about the halo effect. Even against us in round 2 he was letting in tries and chucking tanties (punching the ground and woulda been sent off for swearing at the ref + being a dick if he wasn't a Souffs player.)

Then he threw a simple pass to an unmarked player on the wing who outran Sam Moa and all was forgotten. GI the Goanna... all class... nobody else could have thrown a simple pass ~2m to an unmarked winger...etc.

Hahhahaha. Gus is a smart guy but quite annoying at times. Also interesting and as others have pointed out already, is the complete lack of criticism of future immortal "the goanna" for his pathetic defensive efforts tonight. Reece Robinson, well done mate. Geez I enjoyed that win by Parra.
