Lurker doesn't have the best strike rate

The Lurker has next to zero credibility. But we can only hope this is true.

Two more years would be perfect. Then maybe Hastings Jr will be ready.

He would be barking mad not to take the offer from Dean Ritchie

You can count Napa in for 2 years as well.

Not overly fussed to be honest, most are aware I've never been a huge supporter of his signing from the beginning and a lot of those points still hit home for me. I think our team lacks creativity to an extent and I think we could get more out of the 5/8 position.

With RTS at fullback now, Fergo in the centres and Pearce hitting new heights it's nowhere near as much a concern but I'm still not a huge fan of having a 5/8 with limited vision.

I thought his last tackle option in the final minutes of the Rabbioths game summed it up perfectly for me. Souths were without a fullback, both RTS & Guerra were screaming for the grubber near the posts but he just lacked the vision to pick up on it and ended up putting in a dud bomb that went over the dead ball line, 20m restart, 7 tackle set.... game over. Those moments are what the halves get paid the big bucks for and the issue isn't that he didn't execute the kick to SKD properly I can forgive that it's the fact that he couldn't see the opportunity to begin with.

I think he executes his edge plays well and is generally a pretty good judge of when to run and when to pass, he plays to his strengths and for that reason he'd be a great fit for many teams and will undoubtedly be in demand but if he goes I wont be too fussed, nor will I be too fussed if he stays. Like I said he does a solid job but I think there's an opportunity in that position to add another dynamic to our team.

Possibly. However I don't think there's anyone on the market rated higher than Jimmy. His last tackle options are a concern, particularly our inability to force repeat sets. However, Jimmy is one of the best ball running, passing and support halves in the game. I for one really hope he re-signs and tutors horrie jnr

Did they hit home in 2013? When he was phenomenal all year with dozens of trys, try assists, line breaks and line break assists combined? And let's not forget his best on ground performance in the GF.

Fair enough if you're not a huge fan, but don't make it sound like he's been a "so-so" signing. As far as I'm concerned he's been a great asset to the club and may that continue until 2017.

We really need Hastings to live up to his reputation. Because if he doesn't Maloney will be a massive loss. I'm not sold on Hastings at all but I trust POS implicitly and his track record speaks for itself. POS doesn't get the attention and respect he deserves. A lot of this recent success is down to him. In these days of horse trading and strict salary cap regulation we are very lucky to have him.

He is hands down our best 5/8th since freddy. Too many changes in a short space of time can hurt us. I am still not convinced that SOH can fill the void left by him. Another two years is enough time to see whether SOH will own his position at 5/8th. I wish that he was playing NSW cup instead of the U20s though.
                          Comment of the year:

I still think Sheck is the long term 5/8th in waiting. He looks like a young Darren Lockyer to me.

Great news if true. He really gives Pearce a good foil & plays a different game to Pearce so therefore gives us some real variety
