Yeah... solid game. Him or Guerra? Remembering they're up against Tamou, Hannant, Taumalolo and Scott... supposedly Australia's best forwards.

Add in JT and you start wondering why the Cowboys aren't stronger.

Got the job done against them in NQ tropical heat! I'd be happy if we won by 1 point. This game's always a slog (I still have nightmares about the Darwin game). to win this one means a lot. Souffs now...

Putting things into perspective, great win. I'm sure conditions weren't great and playing THE BEST team in QLD to nearly keeping them to Zero promises a lot. The late penalties well they're just tired penalties. Only thing I think is to work on maintaining focus when the pressure is on cause they kept putting themselves under pressure.

Yeah terrible number of penalties against us (and IMO a bunch of shoddy calls... knock-ons and forward passes - I was on a bootleg stream though so can't say I had the best view of it.) 50+ more tackles than them mostly near the try line and we still won in NQ heat.

Much to improve upon, but a promising start to 2015!!

That's extraordinary defence.

Hard to find a bad player tonight, SKD had a few moments but some of his runs were really crucial.

I thought Cords, Liu, Pearce & Sheck were the standouts. Guerra did a good job down the right edge too, looked out on his feet all night... will have to get used to playing the full 80 again. Dug in well though.

Nice interview from Fergo at the end too, his defence was awesome... the attack will come.

Good stuff. Couldn't watch it from where I am..couldn't even listen to it on the ABC. Anyway, a first up win in FNQ is a fantastic result.

Great win against the odds . Just wish our completion rates improve from third last in 2014 whilst also like to see us make more ground out of our 30 mtr zone as it has been weak the past few seasons yet we seem to be held down longer than any team in the the said 30 mtr zone

Looking at the match stats, this is a match we should have lost. We lost nearly every stat but were clearly the better side.

My worry is the long term effect of losing penalties. Mirrors last year - let's hope it was home town decisions and nothing more....

Hard to single guys out after such a dominant performance but RTS exceeded my expectations... He was superb.

We lost most of the penalty counts in 2013 and still went on and won the big one.attitude and commitment that won
That defence was inspirational. We tackled them 50 times in our 20 to only concede one try, it's mind blowing stuff. It's this them the grand final in 2013. I was nearly heart broken when we conceded, that's how much defence means to me.

Well I just got back from the game , believe me it was a cracker especially in the first half where we set the tone and can be excused for loosening the screws, although the Semi we were up by heps and let them back.
The forwards were relentless with their go forward with venom.
Guerra did the job on JT and Kane all night , whIch really effected their attack to the extent that the locals were questioning wether JT was even on the field.
JWH and Hennat had a good battle early , good to watch in back play.
Dropped ball was understandable as the boys were sweating bullets , heard first hand that some of the boys lost 2kg through out the game.
One thing for sure the first half set the standard for the other teams to aspire to .
