  • round 1 team to be announced at 5pm today

the NRL.com website is stating that all 16 team lists will be released at 5pm today, I wonder if the NRL has decided to copy the AFL where there is a set time all team lists are released.

interesting that Horrie Jnr is playing NYC this weekend rather than NSW cup, thought the experience against men would help his development.

its a pretty good backline for NYC, not sure if they will have the forward power this year to compete though.

Roosters NYC (1-13): Latrell Mitchell, Johnny Tuivasa-Sheck, Paul Momirovski, Taane Milne, Joseph Manu, Jackson Hastings, Zac Nicholls, Richard Skelton, Connor Watson, Poasa Faamausili, Vincent Leuluai, Isaac Chrichton, Nat Butcher Bench: Nick Newman, Sukamanu Raki, Misieli Vaikeli, Piki Rogers, Ryan Turner (18)

7 former Roosters in that cowboy lineup, if we can hold their go forward we have a good shot on Saturday night.

Can someone give me some info on Taukeiaho? I haven't seen him play. Is he going to be a regular this season?

he is a younger more enthusiastic replacement for FPN, by all reports he has been killing it this offseason, will play in short stints off the bench and provide some powerful defense and ball caries.

He looked brilliant at the 9's and apparently had a good game against manly in the trials.

He forced Robbos hand with his shove in the Manly trial. Edged out big Marty for the bench spot.

                      Strong skilful busy.

He reminds me more of Taumololo than FPN, fwiw.
