No statement or physical evidence... he's refused to be interviewed and plead not guilty. IMO the prosecutors will struggle to get a prosecution as they will be relying on the police saying:
- We got a distress call.
- The lady was hurt but we don't know why... she said Watts did it I swear... although she now lives with him and denies making this claim.

I know this is a bit different but my cousin was often abused, physically & mentally by his wife (could be nice or sometimes a nasty piece of work). I am talking being belted with objects, scratched, now not everyday, but every couple of months.

I know he lied about what happened, but because we are very close, he feesed to me, sometimes in tears. Now he is bigger than his wife and did not retaliate.

But he never left. Scared if he retaliated or walked, he would never see his kids. I thried to help but he wouldnt leave.

Often said she was sorry, didnt mean it etc. He now copes by just letting her rant and not saying anything, apparently she runs out of steam and doesnt get physical.

So yeah, often the abused do go back to the abuser for reasons we on the outside cannot understand. But I dont think he is honest with himself or me, I know he's not happy.

He's got to be sacked at the bare minimum. I do not want him anywhere near our club.

Why does he need to be sacked at the bare minimum? Apart from a drink when he wasn't allowed, if the charges are not proved, I don't think he should be punted.

If the charges are proved, the grub should be booted.

Agreed. But as long as he is gone I don't care.

My sympathies Super Chook. Sometimes people stay in an unhappy relationship because of kids, or because they have got so used to their lives they don't know how to change them. They feel a certain amount of guilt, although they may not be to blame. Best of luck to your cousin.
