Brian Smith has done an excellent job at the Roosters thus far. As supporters we would be crazy, in my opinion, to in any way undermine what he is trying to do. The psychology might sound a little optimistic but I have a feeling there is a method to his madness. And another thing, no one on this board (wall) should underestimate the influence and 'quiet' power of this forum. As a follower and occasional contributor over many years on this site and The Wall, I have seen many players and a couple of coaches given absolute floggings by diehard Roosters fan who bleed red, white and blue and vent their frustrations at perceived and undeniable mediocrity and PATHETIQUE. Do not kid yourselves, Rothfield and co. read this site and use stuff for their meanderings. At the old Wall, on many occasions I gleaned bits from Rothfield's column (and other journos) that were plagiarized from Cogburn, Melon, Trewelha, John Tobin, Bansai Pipeline etc etc.
