Best thing about all the Carney drama is that he probably won't play origin now. If the club is smart they will rest him long enough to totally fix the groin and miss origin but still come back in time for a crack at the finals. We could end up having a much better season than if he had of played a full season plus origin with the dodgy groin.
Smith got the same result last year by playing Carney out of position until the origin series was over so will no doubt be thinking the same way again.
Now its just up to the rest of the squad to keep us in touch with the top 8 til Carney comes back. That's gonna be the hard part though judging by the last game...
