Legally, the club had to give Watts a 'breach of contract', before they can legally sack him. Question is, were Watts's previous issues ie, getting kicked out of Rivessis at Bondi & other incidents pre-season, not cause enough to be given a breach notice? Anyway, his days are numbered. Good riddence!
Carney is guilty of being an alchoholic, and a stupid bogan. I can see him coming back, via a couple of months at Jmans place, for the semi's (if we make them).
If I was him, I would be nervous fronting up to my team-mates, explaining to them why I was not in Gosford supporting my team-mates, instead going on the piss at the X. And using the excuse of going to see his mum!
Football talent only gets you so far in this world. As they say, you cannot put brains in statues.
Every club has alcohol issues, but most clubs do a smother and keep things in-house. Carney was an easy target because of his priors, and the media circus went into meltdown. but Todd is not the sharpest tool in the shed!!!! when will he learn?
Maybe he changed his mind as it was raining heavily.
He was reportedly at home...until Watts kept sending him texts and he finally gave in.
Woulda been nice if an older mentor flatmate had been there to intercept the texts and say no.
The team was woeful, lucky he didn't go, he would likely have been punching the seats like everyone else.
