    Should be sacked.
What happens next year when this mutt starts boozing again?
If Carney appealed in the courts so be it but worth taking a stand over.

      Anasta it is.
Kheirallah has been one of Newtown's best at halfback, clever player in attack but don't think he's ready for the defensive load of first grade.

Brian will be going Anasta/Pearce, we all know it.

Carney is in the situation Gus Gould spoke of with Greg Alexander or was it Mark Geyer when he asked him to write a list of all the things he wants to do and he wrote two pages before he ssaid "play 1st grade rubba loig" Gus told him "come back when football is on the first page"

        Carnage needs the same treatment

He didn't make a mistake at all. I'm basing what I said on the assumption that it will later be found out he has made a mistake, and he will get punished for it.

If the club is stupid enough to stand Carney down then we will get and deserve the wooden spoon. No man is bigger than the club but Carney comes pretty close given the amount of pretenders in our team.

                A bit of perspective please...
It has everything to do with the NRL. They are the ones who ultimately decide whether Carney or Watts for that matter can play or not. If they deregister one or both of them, there's nothing the Roosters can do about it.

Carney taking this year out as a last chance to sort out his problems could be the best solution for everyone.

As for Watts, there is no place for him at our Club. I know that Cherrington was kept, but no need to make the same mistake twice.

I'm sure they are regretting the loss of Miller now

I was before now. Does Mitchell Pearce have a clause in his contract that any other talented halfback must be released to ensure he has no competition for his position?

                      Tom Symmonds can play 5/8th.
Carney has already had a year out to get help...fight addiction...et etc.....yawn.

Shouldn't be suspended. $10k fine for breaking club policy. Move on from this pointless beatup

Can we delay the decision until after ANZAC day?

I can't hack losing another one to those prics...

If I was running the club I'd stand him down "indefinitely" and then after like 5-10 weeks once his groin was sorted, a few stories about his rehab had been run and all the furore had died down I'd bring him back into the team for our Premiership charge booyeah

                            Make me CEO now.

firstly I agree that Carney needs to be sent away from football it is in the best interests of his personal wellbeing.

the club is taking a big leap of faith in Carney if they go down the path of a season ending suspension rather than sacking him, we not only lose his services this year but there is also no guarantee given his previous record that he will ever be able to get rid of his demons.

there are major salary cap and player recruitment issues having Carney and his hefty salary sitting idle without any exact timeline for a possible return.
