Hello everyone,my name is Nate,nice to meet you all.
I am not here to start a flame war,I respect all of u.I am just like u,BLOODY FRUSTRATED! I don’t have all the answers but I am absolutely appalled by some of the comments here.Sack Smith,sack Carney,sack Mini,sack Nick,SACK,SACK,SACK......Jesus Christ! Fans don’t kick their team when they are down.How many of you post something positive after a win? How many of you give Smith a pat on the back after a win? When things are going good this place is a ghost town,a couple of loses & some allegations & there is a lynch mob posting 24/7.
Do u seriously expect the chooks to win every single game? Last season was the same sh*t but we went to the grand final.Ricky’s 1st year saw us lose allot of games & we won the bloody comp.Lighten up,manage your expectations,we are never going to go undefeated all season & win the Grand Final.We are going to lose games just like every other club does.Yes it is frustrating but the Roosters are never going to meet these unrealistic expectations.
We are obviously not playing to the best of our abilities but nit picking on everything & fighting amongst ourselves is not the solution.Post advice on how to turn it around.Send the club a letter with advice or words of encouragement.
Every 2nd post here talks about sacking Smith.I am not a fan of his but is yet ANOTHER coach going to solve the problems? How many coaches have we had over the past few years? They weren’t exactly work experience boys,where they? We had some very good coaches.We need to stop pointing the finger at the coach.Bennet is gone,he is never going to coach us so what is the point of talking about him anymore? Now we have jumped on the Bellemy bandwagon.He wanted Mason! He wanted that cancer even after he saw what Mason did to us.What about Bellamy’s state of origin record? What about all the grapple tackles & other dirty tactics his players have been taught?
Who knows what’s behind some of Smiths decisions when it comes to picking a team.Maybe there are more injuries than we know of? Yeah he has never won a grand final but if he was a complete f**k wit,he wouldn’t have been a coach in Oz & England for so many years? There a plenty of coaches out there, if he was as incompetent as he is portrayed by some of you, he would be unemployed.
Now we have this Watts & Carney incident.
We have an ALLEGATION against Watts.Has anyone seen photos of his g/f beaten & bruised? Police would have taken photos & so would she.(We all saw photos of Rihanna’s beaten face) Until I have seen proof I am not casting any stones.Watts is not the first player to have serious allegations directed towards him only to be cleared by a court of law.Until he is found guilty,he is innocent.If found guilty,he should be an arse buffet in prison & be banned from the NRL for life.
What exactly do we know about Carney’s role in all of this? NOTHING! Yet everyone wants him publicly flogged.If we were on the top of the comp no one would care if Carney was smooking crack & clubbing kittens.Wait to see what happens.We made our bed when we bought a guy with serious issues,now we have to lie in it.Roosters can’t keep buying alco’s & pill poppers & think we won’t have problems.
Don’t think we were squeaky clean in previous years.Anyone who went to certain Birthday Party's at the Light Brigade would have thought they were on the set of a Pablo Escobar movie.I have never seen so much coke in my entire life & they were winning then.Players habits is not the issue either. In the past all the players got on the piss,it’s just that they are under more scrutiny by the media these days.
Are you really a fan? Do you really love the club? Walking away when times are tough then jumping back on the bandwagon when times are good are not the actions of a fan.
Buying more players,sacking the coach are things we have done for years & IT IS NOT WORKING! We didn’t have half of the big names we have now the year we won the Grand Final. Maybe we need to look back into our past to improve our future?
