Lets not forget the drunk half naked coach approaching a room, the defecating naked player in a hotel corridor, lets not forget the current player caught and found guilty of drug possession, the previous drunken aggressive behaviour toward women by certain players, prior to this current incident. A team/club with convictions. What does the the club managment do what do the administrators do? Where is the example? This culture is endemic in the club. Strong leadership begins at the top and without respect there is no loyalty. I guess that's why Samsung a multinational pulled out as a sponsor but the roosters kept on the board an executive that resigned as CEO from a leading upmarket retailer after a well publiced sex harrasment case . The roosters arent just a club in crisis they are a disgrace. Bring on the independent commission to hand out punishment to clubs not this farce adminstration that allows clubs to take matters in their hands. The roosters have brought the game into direpute time after time.

I have been in and around football teams for over 20 years, and I have NEVER seen a team that DOESN'T go out and get on the drink together.

What Watts did was inexcusable and I am sure will be punished appropriately - by both the law and the club.

Carney has a problem with the grog that he has admitted. He needs help and the club should give him help. The club knew very well he had an issue with the grog when they signed him up. This weekends incident is unfortunate, but he certainly didn't break any laws or even bring the game into disrepute. He did let his club, coach and team mates down if he promised to stay off the grog. This being the case, it is his club, coach and team mates who he has to answer to.

To think this team, or any other football team are not going to have their players go out and get on the drink from time to time is naive and ridiculous. Its been happening for as long as the game has been alive.
