I have heard from a very good source that has now left the club but still is passionate about the club that Nick Politis is both a positive with his influence but he also keeps us from reaching our full potential...
A person without football experience being involved in football related matters, and at the most basic level we have seen it over and over again with poor recruitment / retention decisions over the years... But no one can dare change things at the club, the boardmembers are handpicked and are all mates with the one that matters... But on the flipside in defence whatelse can you expect when one person has invested some money into the joint over the years...
The same thing will happen at Newcastle, but Bennett will ensure everything football related is under his control...Last edited by redrooster; 04-18-2011, 01:44 AM.

Silent but deadly.......
I don't agree with sacking Nick.
part of me loves Nick, the other part wants to give him some home truths about what we represent as a club.
Big shot after big shot who think they know everything about life because they know how to make money are the ones with influence at the chooks.
Family values seem to take a back seat.
I think that is sad because young impressionable men need role models at the club as well, as naturally they will look up to who is in charge.
From what I see some at the club some suck up to Nick and want some business sideline and the footy is a an excuse to forge a relationship with him.
These people really, really, really devalue our brand.
I am sure Nick knows this but I guarantee you that players are not stupid. They are much smarter than you think and they hate the backslappers that role up in the dressing rooms each week.
Sacking Nick I am not into, he loves the roosters is a generous benefactor and has years of experience and influence where it counts.
I hope Nick starts to realize that we need good men and good mentors around the place who love the chooks.barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!
