  • Make injured players turn up!!!

Carney is not believed to have been involved in the incident, but had been out with Watts in Coogee after the pair, who are both sidelined through injury, watched the Roosters’ 24-6 defeat to Brisbane in Gosford.
ALL this could have been avoided if the boys were at the game with their team rather than left alone as the 2 injured guys stuck in Sydney!!!!

I remember last year when we SMASHED the Broncos around about this time, they had about 5 players IN THE STANDS watching the game. If only we had a policy like that... if you're injured then you warm up with the boys and bond with them. I dunno - make yourself useful in the locker rooms... fill some drink bottles and cut up some oranges? Granted they are still being paid, theyshould still turn up to games with the boys IMO.

That should be automatic, they are part of this team injured or not, they should have been there to show support, that's just crap they were allowed to stay away not on. They apparently weren't to injured to go out they had a right to be at the game!!!!!! that goes for all those "injured" unless they are in plaster & unable to walk.

Totally agree. Its part of the professional attitude the club should be striving to achieve.

I put this in another post, the club advertises being UNITE.

          That should extend to everyone.

It should be a MUST for all players to at least attend all home games. If you are injured, you should be sitting in the players enclosure supporting the team and the players.

Like Jan said, unless there are issues with mobility, you should still be at the games.

Was also thinking about that earlier. In Soccer/football, injured players have to be at the games on the stand. Rooney wasn't playing overnight in the FA Cup semi but I'm sure he was there sitting in the stand.

Just speculating here, but maybe with the game being at Gosford, it was deemed better--in accordance with the fact that they are recovering from injuries--not to travel? Anyway, being at a match that finishes around 9pm is hardly going to have an effect on what they might choose to do at a later hour. Maybe it would have been different in Gosford, maybe not. But how about the next home game at the SFS?

Discipline issues aside, yes, it should be a policy for injured players to be at a game supporting their teammates, unless there is a good reason for them not to be there. Mind you, you would hope they would choose to do so whether or not it was club policy.

There is no excuse for injured players not to turn up to all home games, FFS Tuquiri travelled to the ****ing Gold Coast with the Tigers despite having a ****ing broken arm.

Chris Lawrence was in the crowd too with a dislocated hip.

I'm suprised that injured players don't attend games. Geez in our social competitions, everyone turns up to the games even when they are too sick/injured to play. They stand on the sideline and cheer their team on

You go to support your team when injured if you are committed to that team. If you are not committed then you go and do what the hell you like when the game is on..
