  • A sad situation....

is that I am really considering walking my support away from this club. Now most of you will say "go on go then?" but the point I am making is that I have supported this team the best part of 35 years but I am ashamed of the culture we have developed and ultimately the club we have now become. In fact if Brisbane get a second team my allegiances will probably go there unless there are changes made.

As I said most of you probably wont give a fark what I do but I can see a lot of supporters on here are fed up. I want to support a club that I am proud of....one that I can wholeheartedly say I support.

Alas with the Roosters I cant do this at present. I hope they change my mind

If they were winning you wouldn't walk away

Honestly no one would care if the whole team was party boy deviants if they were winning

They were probably just as bad last season except no one got caught and we were playing like worldbeaters

I am in the same boat as you mate. I've been supporting the roosters ever since i can remember and it's very tempting with the current situation at the chooks and the possibility of a new team much closer to where I live, to switch my allegiance. Even though I'll most likely stick with the roosters i see where you're coming from.

The thing is teams who act in the way the Roosters are now rarely win.

I am seriously gutted too but NEVER in my wildest dreams could I walk away - they are in my heart and always will be. Roosters forever.

That's true but we always knew we had a bunch of tattoo strewn party boy morons playing for us that probably aren't the best human beings off the pitch

They just did well to keep themselves out of the headlines last year but was probably inevitable

I can understand what your saying as we are all fed up with whats gone on for the past few years, what I find hard to understand is the concept of switching allegiances.

I know if I ever walked away or stopped supporting the Roosters, after all these years that would be it for following a footy team for me ....... I could not suddenly switch and start supporting another team

I already have allegiances to another team

                          We can't forget last season.

It was a joy to behold.

I will never walk away from the club.

Players and administrators come and go but they are not the club.

                          The club is there forever.

Johnny it is unlikely I would walk away. But I have had enough and the fact that those thoughts enter my mind mean I want to support a great club....which ours is not at the moment

frustrated but could never walk away. Agree with many about the culture at the club.. it stinks. Notice how Braith and Mini aren't getting in the shit. Its just the GEN Y pests with mainstream tattoos. Its part of life now not just in this football team. Concentration spans of ants, thats why there is no consisitency. Too many big heads. The fact that Myles was seen talking to the Gold coast is a worry. I'd like to see him farked off.
