Carney is gone ...sponsors have had enough . If he was drinking ...its all over .If not , he'll survive . Watts may have to come to his defence, otherwise Todd has played his last game..

Smith should just start focusing on Jonathan Ford

Feel sorry for Noyce. Being Roosters CEO would take a lot out of someone. Maybe we should get someone like Peter Cosgrove. Ex Army chief to teach the idiots some discipline

Carney is still innocent. We know the bloke that will go.

Lets not let some headline seeking "journo" dictate what goes on in our club. We need cool heads here and maybe we need to set the discipline standard.

Sponsors got more than their money's worth last year. If they have had enough then let them walk and regret it just like Samsung. I am sure there are a few sponsors who would step in to sponsor a young grand finalist team.

The incident occurred after the Roosters' terrible performance against Brisbane Broncos in Gosford on Saturday night where they were beaten 24-6.

            >>>>> >>>>> >>>>>

They probably couldn't stand the pain, and went out to drown their sorrows...thinking the season was over anyway.

            ___
            ***

"About 4am today (Sunday 17 April), a 24-year-old man and 24-year-old woman became involved in a verbal argument in the loungeroom of a Bream Street apartment," the statement said.

            >>>>> >>>>> >>>>>

At a 'party' it said in another link.

            4am?

The time at which people should have been asleep for 4 hours.

Here Here !! I dont give a rats arse what the media OR sponsors think. If ANY player is sacked for simply drinking alcohol (and not being involved with any wrong doings at all) then this club can get stuffed all the way to hell.

Anyone condoning Carney's sacking is a deadset softcock

If the players think the season is over in mid-April they can go **** off.. Carney is breaking contract terms if he is drinking as it is team rules that players cannot drink during injury rehab.. We of course do not know if he was drinking this time.

What crime did Carney commit ? drinking beer, if indeed he is not permitted to drink in his own time, he must surely be the onle person in the western world that could be penalised for doing so. I cant believe the wowsers, predominently Rooster supporters that have posted outlandishly harsh comments on this forum. Many people think to be a supporter of Rugby League, one needs to be indoctrinated into the game as a child (as I was ) or just to be born stupid (as I was ) If my club sacks Carney for having a drink I will follow another code of football.
